We researched obsessively....and then finally made a decision when we happened upon Dunraven Campers last year. Well, it wasn't a quick decision....both my husband and I spent lots of time looking at all types of trailer options. We found a ton of great options but there were a few small problems. First of all, we didn't own a truck (however, we do now!) so our towing capacity wasDancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-54897747290123096542021-02-15T21:33:00.003-07:002021-03-06T17:48:27.101-07:00Hello Oregon!Found I wrote this almost 2 years ago but never published...it was pre pandemic/covid so life was different and I also had to add that we now have 3 kids! Ok.....so I may not have any more followers left seeing that I haven't blogged in years. However, that is ok as I never started blogging to gain a "number" of followers but rather to share with people things I find and love in the world DancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-23637351620684311542017-12-03T17:50:00.000-07:002017-12-04T08:51:37.880-07:00Locally Made Wine County Gift ideasThe holidays always seem to creep up so fast and this year I'm definitely, not prepared. Since becoming a mom or mombie, finding the time and energy to figure out unique gift ideas have not really been my specialty. To help myself and others out, here is a quick list of locally made (if not fully produced, at least the businesses are headquarted in wine country!) Wine County gift ideas. This willDancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-83571158589280416562017-09-22T17:42:00.002-06:002017-09-22T23:38:45.077-06:00Welcoming Fall: Swiss Chard Pie
Fall is coming and I'm ready:
This will be our first Fall in wine country and I'm pretty excited. After living in Colorado the last 2 1/2 years, it will be nice to not have to deal with snow (well, mostly driving in the snow). While I think snow is beautiful I've had my fill of cold winters. Snowy/wintery locales would be okay if you could just always sit by a warm fire and watch the snow DancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-20853940444350941062017-05-03T17:56:00.000-06:002017-05-03T17:56:32.277-06:00SO MUCH CHANGE!!! The title says it all! We have had so much change in the last year and then even more changes in our lives have happened in the last couple of months!
First, learning how to parent a toddler is challenging, wonderful, and of course exhausting but I wouldn't have it any other way!
My daughter is now 2 1/2 and she is so full of joy and love that all of that makes the hard days seem DancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-72573342883027615032017-01-09T14:55:00.001-07:002017-01-09T14:55:53.654-07:00Lemon Chia Seed Muffins for this New Year 2017!
Wow, it has almost been a year since I've blogged! Life has been busy, crazy, and full of wonderful, sad, happy, and stressful times but overall so grand. 2017 brings a new start for the New Year and just maybe, I'll blog some more. I haven't been creating my own recipes very often because well, there just isn't time with an active 2 year old in our house! Plus, we are expecting another little DancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-53238952141462203772016-02-02T13:32:00.000-07:002016-02-08T13:06:28.133-07:00PIZZA!! PIZZA!! Truffled Patate Pizza Recipe
I LOVE Pizza! Yes, it is one of my favorite foods. It also reminds me of Italy which is one of my favorite places to travel. I first went to Italy when my husband lived there while stationed in the Air Force and then later had the opportunity to tour there a few times with the Ririe Woodbury Dance Company. It's a beautiful country and the food, the food, is just so amazing.
In my opinion, the DancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-52306886729650446682016-01-12T15:00:00.000-07:002016-01-12T15:00:01.725-07:00Happy New Year 2016 + White Chocolate Apricot-Pistachio-Espresso cookies you NEED to make!! Happy New Year 2016! Another year has gone by and I cannot believe it! I have been pretty absent from this blog again and that is because I have been enjoying every minute I can with my toddler. She finally has been sleeping better at night and taking somewhat longer naps during the day. I feel less like a walking zombie in the daytime, since we both are getting more sleep. Yay! I am re-posting this post that I featured awhile ago for two reasons. One, I was craving dates the other day and wanted to make this shake/smoothie again and two, as part of the Blue Diamond's Tastemakers group, I was given a carton of their DancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-69967370679923492422015-08-27T18:29:00.000-06:002015-08-27T18:29:03.871-06:00Super Easy Sweet & Savory Trail Mix
Holy moly, where does the time go?? I cannot believe I almost have a one year old! The past year, I haven't blogged much because I've been spending so much of that precious time with my little one. I'm happy to be a part of the Blue Diamond Tastemakers because they give me deadlines for my posts, which is something that is very helpful for me right now!
This month they sent me two flavors of DancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-5478540307870250752015-08-04T18:13:00.000-06:002015-08-04T18:13:57.224-06:00Caramelized Onion Cheese Dip
I Love: caramelized onions, cheese, and dips.......
This dip has some of my favorites and is reminiscent of fondue! It also pairs great with Blue Diamond Artisan Nut-Thins. I tried the Flax Seed and Multi-Seed versions but they also come in Sesame, Chia, and Asiago. These crackers are made from brown rice, almonds, and seeds and make this not-so-healthy dip seem a little DancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-90541752983546978502015-06-28T20:23:00.000-06:002015-06-28T20:41:36.978-06:00Cocoa Almond-Banana Shake featuing Almond Breeze Almondmilk Original

In my last post, I talked about how much I love almonds. What I forgot to mention, is that I also really like Almond milk. I still drink regular dairy milk but we almost always have almond milk in our fridge or pantry.
It is a great staple to have around and I use it for DancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-39967246821266500282015-06-27T15:25:00.000-06:002015-06-27T15:25:01.689-06:00Almonds!! We love them around here....

Almonds are one of my favorite foods! I love them as a healthy snack, on top of oatmeal or cereal, as almond flour for use in baking, and ground up in marzipan. When I traveled a lot in the dance company back in the day, I almost always would take a container of almonds and dried cranberriesDancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-3840494860815674702015-06-06T15:18:00.002-06:002015-06-06T15:18:57.592-06:00Blend 2015 Recap Day #3I'm back! Here is a recap of the last day of the Blend Retreat:
Sunday
This morning started off with one of my favorites, a lovely yoga class sponsored by Bhakti Chai. They also were the ones who provided us the yoga mat from Gaiam that was in our swag bag! The yoga mat was their moisture wicking Sol Dry Grip mat. It values at about $69, making this one of the nicest mats I've ever had! Two weekends ago, I had the opportunity to attend the Blend Retreat 2015 in Boulder, Utah. I was hesitant at first to go but I thought it would be a good excuse for the whole family to go check out Boulder. I knew that taking my 8 month old with me would make it a different experience and I sort of figured that I would be one of the older people there. I was but that's okay.... :)
The retreat DancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-79608538284792543972015-05-15T13:05:00.003-06:002015-05-15T13:05:23.251-06:00Date-Apricot-Coconut Granola
Granola! It's a favorite around here and we go through it way too quickly......and it's not the cheapest thing to buy so I like to make it whenever I can. Like the cookies, it's an easy thing to prep while my baby is napping and then it gets to take its sweet time in the oven while the rest of our day goes on. This one is extra yummy because it has dates in it (which I love!).

Life with a newborn is pretty wonderful but it is pretty busy! I don't have as much time to cook and bake as I did in the past. It actually took me quite awhile to get back into the kitchen after my baby was born. The first month luckily, I was living near my parents and they brought dinner over nightly for my husband and I. They pretty much had a little catering business going on and it was DancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-14865894742005556552015-02-21T15:11:00.001-07:002015-02-21T15:11:44.819-07:00Palm Springs Memories: Banana-Walnut Date Shake/SmoothieOkay, it's been awhile again! I have just been enjoying the time being a mom to my little one. We have been taking Stroller Strides exercise classes and attending our local library for story time. Besides that, I've finally started cooking interesting meals again, as well as attempting to bake...... moving to a place with high altitude has been a challenge!

The biggest and most beautiful has been this:
We have been enjoying every second with our little sweet pea, Brenna Faith. She is such a joy and even with some sleep deprived nights or days when we don't think we have any idea what we are doing---the wait was so worth it. I cannot believe how fast this pregnancy is going by!! This week, marks 37 which just seems crazy! We had a fun baby shower a few weeks ago and it included these wonderful cupcakes from a local shop called Icing on the Cupcake!
We had gourmet cheese platters, olives, wraps, Greek pasta salad, watermelon mint salad, tortellini caprese bites, and almond DancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-567957634401199412014-07-18T13:24:00.000-06:002014-07-18T13:24:37.668-06:00Big News.....
So as you can see by the picture above, things have gotten pretty exciting around here! We are so excited to be welcoming a little girl into our family sometime in mid-September.
I haven't been blogging much again because life has been spent getting ready for this one and well, just enjoying life! I also never blogged about the job I had for about the last 10 months or so. I ended up DancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-88778810617009482092014-06-09T08:09:00.001-06:002014-06-09T08:15:13.484-06:00California Walnut's Virtual Salad Party!! #VirtualSaladParty
I was invited again to participate this year in California Walnuts Virtual Salad Party! I can't say no to a summertime salad celebration. Especially, since today it got up to 100 degrees! It is going to be a hot summer. We were asked to make a dish from the following three chefs: Aida Mollenkamp, Joanne Weir, or Mollie Katzen. Besides going back to work full-time and filling all my extra free time with other important things like moving in to a new house in December...........
I also had stopped blogging because my poor Macbook was running out of space and was running very slow.......I would go to upload photos or blog and it would freeze and be stuck for hours. It was very frustrating. Now, the charger is broken DancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6078755968598137987.post-32739001592083166222014-04-05T20:27:00.002-06:002014-04-05T20:33:23.768-06:00Chocolate Olive Oil Cake....It has been too long!!!!
Wow, I cannot even begin to say how it has been too long since I have blogged! I actually really missed blogging. I probably have no more followers left so if there is anyone who is still following, thank you!
A lot has happened since I last blogged. I'll get to that in a moment but first a recipe, a really tasty recipe! I made this last weekend for dessert when we had my parents over. I made this salad the other night and it was amazing! So refreshing for when it is hot outside and I think it would make a great potluck/party salad. Plus, it contains the ever healthy and delicious kale. Know someone who doesn't like kale?? This may be a great introduction to them of a very important green that should be a staple in their diet.
We've been busy this summer enjoying life, DancerKitchenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15281257744786433047noreply@blogger.com0
